Shores House is a brand new property, available for the most luxurious self-catering holiday in Rock. We cannot think of anywhere else in the locality that gives the same combination of space and privacy. Shores House offers total comfort, access to a superb list of fine wines and up-to-the-minute amenities.

In offering you a home-from-home, we wanted to create a classic elegance: a mixture of flowers, antiques, snug sofas and sumptuous bed-linen. Every room has independent under-floor heating, while a specially-designed hot water system will give all of the bathrooms more than enough steamy water at mains-pressure.

Twelve people are easily accommodated in Shores House in real luxury: there are four double bedrooms (two of them en-suite), and two further twin-bedded rooms. There is a third bathroom and an additional shower room. The main reception room is very large, fitted with a massive flatscreen television with full surround-sound. On the other side of the spectacular hallway, you step back two hundred years when you enter the fully-panelled dining room. The house has a study with free-to-use telephone and broadband. Both master bedrooms also have flat-screen TVs.

We can supply a selection of seriously tempting wines representing some of the greatest vintages of the last half-century. All of the principal wine-producing regions of the world are represented together with some very interesting dessert wines and a choice of two vintage ports.

You’ll find Shores House near the centre of the village, just off a sleepy residential road behind a stand of huge trees and set in the middle of its own private garden. Unlike the houses on the sea-front, there is real peace and quiet here, yet you’re only a short twelve minute walk along a rural footpath from Porthilly Cove.
